Earlier this year, PBS began producing original web video programs. My two favorite shows are Off Book and Idea Channel. Off Book explores cutting edge art. Season 1 is focused on the process, motivation and meaning of a new generation of artists. New episodes are posted every other Wednesday.

Idea Channel is a show that examines the connections between pop culture, technology and art. Host Mike Rugnetta posts new videos every other Wednesday.

PBS Digital Studios has also posted Auto-tune Remixes of Mr. Rogers and Bob Ross

Le Monde Fabuleux Des Yamasuki is a 1971 album by the Yamasuki Singers, a pseudo-Japanese concept album of pop songs, described on the sleeve of the Finders Keepers CD reissue as "a fuzzed-out-educational-multi-cultural psych-rock-opera.... proto-psychedelic hip-hop with overweight drum beats and basslines."

In 1971, two funk producers (one a Dutch-speaking Belgian named Jean Kluger, the other a Frenchman named Daniel Vangarde, the father of Daft Punk man Thomas Bangalter) create a briefly popular dance song named Yamasuki and decide to make a whole album based on that song. They learn Japanese, find a children’s choir to sing on the album, and get a black-belt judo master to shout. They're assisted by uncredited contributers including Raymond Van Het Groenewoud and Claude Lombard. The resulting album is a psychedelic-funk-kaboki-Langley School Music Project.

According to Billboard.com, Beck is contributing three unreleased songs to the upcoming video game Sound Shapes. His tracks "Cities," "Touch the People" and "Spiral Staircase," will each be the soundtrack to a level of the game. It will also include original music by deadmau5, I Am Robot and Proud and Jim Guthrie, who previously delved into gaming soundtracks with "Superbrothers: Sword & Sorcery EP."

The musically oriented game will allow players to create increasingly complex beats via their achievements in a side-scrolling platformer. Users will be able to generate their own levels and music for the game, as well.
